Where is Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge?
Animal Kingdom Lodge is one of the luxury-priced resorts at Disney World, and is located right next to the Disney theme park that shares its name.
Animal Kingdom Lodge is a bit of a distance from the other theme parks; but you can get around easily on the free Disney bus system.

What's Special about Animal Kingdom Lodge for families?
Like other Disney World resorts, Animal Kingdom Lodge has a pool that's life-guarded, a wading pool, a playground. And --like other luxury properties-- Animal Kingdom Lodge also has a kids' program: Simba's Clubhouse for ages 4-12.
But Animal Kingdom Lodge also has much, much more.
The most spectacular feature is the Arusha Savanna "out back", where you can see giraffes, zebras, and more.
Animal Kingdom Lodge has several vantage points where you can view and learn about animals. Often, you'll find a trained staff member at the Arusha Rock viewing area, to answer questions about the animals. At dusk, at the Sunset Viewing room you can again speak to a wildlife guide.
The second terrific feature of this resort is its breathtaking architecture and interior filled with fascinating artifacts. Free tours are offered daily. Also check the resort schedule for free kids activities such as making rubbings of the brass engravings inlaid in the floor.
