The Avalon Baccara is a pretty beachfront boutique hotel in the Cancun Hotel Zone. Clientele is predominantly adults, but families can stay at this property, and kids can use the Wild Things kids' club at the adjacent Avalon Grand Cancun.

Avalon Resorts group has several properties that include the Reef Club on Isla Mujeres, the Avalon Grand Cancun next to the Baccara, and the Avalon Grand Panama.

  • The name is "Baccara" (the name of a black rose), not "Baccarat!"
Outings
  • If you want to shop and dine in the Hotel Zone, the Avalon Baccara is well-located.
  • To the south, interesting day-trips are possible: Mayan ruins, snorkeling lagoons, eco-parks; read about the Mayan Riviera.
  • Nearby Isla Mujeres offers Garrafon National Park: part natural park, part tourist attraction, with snorkeling, snuba, sea-trekking, zip line, and  restaurants.
