On our visit to the Space Coast, we stayed at the oceanfront Doubletree Cocoa Beach. Space Coast Doubletree Cocoa Beach Hotel

This hotel has a pool (right), and a smaller kiddie pool also. The Cocoa Beach Pier (below) is a 20-minute walk along the beach. Space Coast Doubletree Cocoa Beach Hotel pool

Rusty's Seafood and Oyster Bar, in Cape Canaveral, is a well-established spot, popular with local families. Space Coast restaurant

We also enjoyed the picnic-style eats at the The Lone Cabbage where we had an airboat ride.

Personal Best restaurant recommendation: Island Pasta Co., in Melbourne. Small place, kid-friendly, sophisticated and original menu. Try pasta with a sauce that has grapes and bananas: it works. Really.
