Unofficial
Guide to Walt Disney World Visiting
Walt Disney World is giant fun for families, but a giant challenge
too: you'll want to visit four major theme parks, (each larger
than Disneyland), and possibly two water parks; prices are
expensive, weather hot, crowds hectic, kids can go into
meltdown-- you need advice!
This
book tells you how to minimize waiting in line-ups,
and maximize fun. Having a "game plan" for each day
is essential.
Another
key element of a trip to WDW is lodgings. Many
families choose to say on-property at one of the themed Disney World
Resorts. Which one to pick? What are the advantages of staying
on-property? Long before the date of your vacation, you'll need to
plan.
"Dining
in and around Walt Disney World" is another essential topic.
Family travelers need to feed hungry little mouths numerous times a
day: sometimes your eye is on the budget, sometimes you'll want the
fun of a character meal.
Finally,
Walt Disney World is the size of Boston: planning your
transportation is vital. Be sure to read the section on "How to
Travel Around the World."
My sole
caution about this book is that it's grown
into a mighty tome. Still, it's worth carrying with you in the theme parks
so you'll have
details about every attraction. We'd have missed many good attractions without this book: it's
particularly handy for finding a quick ride to experience while waiting for a Fastpass
return-time.
