This all-inclusive is on the Mayan Riviera, 55 minutes south of Cancun's International Airport and adjacent to the unique "eco-archeological theme park", Xcaret. Xcaret is beautiful, fun, and entertaining; read about Xcaret.
Occidental Hotels & Resorts is a Spanish chain that also owns Allegro Resorts.
This property was the scene of a tragic death of a child, in 2003; issues remain unresolved --see below
this all-inclusive resort has plenty of activities (see below) but its big plus is proximity to the Xcaret theme park. Families can have fun at Xcaret from early morning through to the end of the excellent night show. Guests at the resort get a free pass to Xcaret. (Best to pick up the passes the day before, to get an early start.)
The resort is also well-placed for other activities in the Mayan Riviera, such as visiting the ruins at Tulum or Coba.
