Where is Beaches Boscobel?

Beaches Boscobel --part of Sandals Resorts--is on the north coast of Jamaica, 10 miles east of Ocho Rios, and 2 hours drive from Montego Bay airport. It's also possible to fly to the Ocho Rios airport; sometimes this flight is free with Beaches promotions.

Beaches Boscobel has 224 guestrooms and suites.

What's special about Beaches Boscobel for families?

Beaches is the all-inclusive family brand of the Sandals chain which specializes in couples' holidays. Other Beaches resorts include Beaches Negril and Beaches Turks & Caicos.

Like all Beaches resorts, Beaches Boscobel is totall designed for family fun. Features include:

  • nursery for infants
  • kids programs for many age groups
  • big pool with floating mats, kiddie pool with waterslide, wading pool for smallest guests
  • banana boat rides, water tricycles, sailboats, water trampoline.
  • snorkel trips and glass-bottom boat trips
  • scuba, with instruction, for ages 12 and up (a great opportunity for teens)
  • all-included golf course with special programs for kids
  • kiddie section, with pint-sized seating, at the buffet restaurant

Things to keep in mind about Beaches Boscobel:

  • the beach area is small, and swimming is restricted to a confined area
  • "Junior suites" are one room -- this is what a "junior suite" is, in hotel parlance
  • you may have to get up very early, to sign up for scuba and snorkeling outings
