TIP #6. bring snacks, and a refillable water bottle

With little kids, the wise parent always has a snack on hand: and the high cost of snacks and treats at Walt Disney World is all the more reason to carry along some munchies. Fruit leather, granola bars, carrots are some of the healthier options you can eat in a jiff when stuck in a line-up.

A big bonus of having a few snacks on hand is that you don't have to stop and eat if, say, you're rushing to make a Fastpass return-time: eating in restaurants takes not only money, but time!

As for drinks: on a hot, sweaty summer day in Orlando, your kids will be thirsty ALL THE TIME.

Of course you can simply purchase drinks, but the cost of sodas at $2.50 soon adds up. Another approach is to bring a water bottle and refill it one of the water fountains found throughout all the parks. (If your kids don't like the taste, try this tip: bring along some lemon drink crystals to mix in.)
