For those thinking ahead to summer vacation, now might be a good time for some suggestions about Europe. The exchange rate is relatively favorable for changing dollars to euros, and there are many ways to go easy on the budget...
Have a look at eight suggestions for family trips in France, starting of course with the City of Light, Paris, where the most famous museums are free, and where simply wandering the streets -- and sampling delectable pastries-- is entertainment. Meanwhile Disneyland Paris is nearby, if you have the budget and inclination.
Further ideas extend to road trips (which might take you to small-town festivals with traditional dancers, pictured above), renting a vacation home as a home base and exploring the environs, or trying some of the places where French families take their holidays.... such as all-inclusive Club Med ski resorts.
