Wherever Your Travels take You... Track Santa at the Norad Site

By December 21, 2012

Santa's sleighSometimes it can feel a little strange, for kids to spend Christmas Eve in -- say-- a tropical beach setting. Will Santa come this far? Will he know we're here?

Wherever your family spends Christmas Eve, you can track the flight of the most famous world traveler. Every year, NORAD -- the North American Aerospace Defense Command -- gives a bit of magic to millions of kids: the NORAD Tracks Santa website follows Santa's sleigh as it travels the globe.

This tradition has been going on since 1955, and every year the displays get spiffier, with apps and Google Maps and Google Earth, Facebook, and Twitter.... But the magic stays the same.

Visit the NORAD Tracks Santa website before the big night, and your kids can play games in the Kids Countdown Village (and parents can do the prep for tracking Santa on mobile devices.)
