Head to Spring Break Beaches Without Needing Passports

Photo ©  Teresa Plowright.For U.S. citizens: if you're dreaming of a family vacation at a beach resort for Spring Break, but not everyone in the family has a passport, consider the US Virgin Islands or Puerto Rico in the Caribbean; both are U.S. territories and no passport is required for U.S. citizens. (Trunk Bay beach, right is part of a U.S. National Park.) While these islands aren't known for all-inclusive choices, they do have many family-friendly resorts and you can find a couple of all inclusives too. The other wonderful option for U.S. citizens without passports is of course Hawaii. Disney's Hawaii resort on Oahu -- Aulani, a Disney Resort and Spa -- has amazing features and a terrific kids club that's complimentary (- many kids clubs in Hawaii charge a daily rate.) Or head to the Hilton Waikoloa Village's 65 acres on the Big Island, or to the "garden isle" Kauai, or watch nightly hula at Maui's "most Hawaiian hotel"....
