Very cool! Google Maps' Street View goes beyond, well, a street view, and lets you basically walk right through this tourist attraction...
Got an email this morning about the Polynesian Cultural Center -- a very fun place to visit with kids, on Oahu -- noting that visitors can now explore the PCC online. Street View is normal created by cars driving on public roads, but in this case cameras were mounted onto a three-wheel pedicab that was driven throughout the 42-acre PCC.
The Polynesian Cultural Center has beautiful lush grounds and is made up of "villages" that showcase different cultures: Fiji, Samoa, Tahiti, etc. In each village, kids can do hands-on activities. Allow plenty of time to visit, and stay for the luau and spectacular night-time show.
To virtually walk through the Polynesian Culture Center, head to Google Maps and drag the little orange peg-man icon (upper left) onto the PCC location. Voila!
