July 4th Fireworks and Celebrations

Coming up very soon is that major occasion in the U.S. for spectacular fireworks: July 4th, Independence Day.

Why not watch the light-up-the-night displays in a city that puts on a big bash?

In New York City, Macy's Fourth of July fireworks on the river are famous (- and our About.com Guide for Manhattan has tips about the best viewing spots.) Boston throws a giant party called Harborfest, DC has a giant Independence Day Parade; in LA, the Rose Bowl has Americafest, with Family Fun Festival and the "biggest and best fireworks show in Southern California"...
