The last day of 2009 is coming up, with more family-friendly New Year's Eve events than ever before; and a few weeks later comes a second New Year celebration, with colorful parades and festivities in many cities.

Chinese New Year falls on February 14 2010. Festivities are spread over several weeks, and families visiting New York, Seattle, San Francisco, LA, and other cities will find parades, Lion Dances, and other colorful events.

Check out Chinese New Year Celebrations, and a Chinese New Year Parade Photo Gallery.
