Skiing and snowboarding are expensive, especially for families, when parents have to shell out for three or four or five lift tickets, (not to mention lessons); and when kids grow out of their equipment every year.

Another way to save money is to check prices for the places like restaurants ahead of time.

It is so true about how things are too expensive anymore. It is the exact reason I think people are resorting to playing virtual games, such as SkiFree, as opposed to participating in the real outdoors activity. Save a few bucks and get a free trial for any one of 900 games for the kids.
