Kaanapali Beach Hotel

Okay, I'm a believer now: the Kaanapali Beach Hotel really is Maui's -- and probably Hawaii's -- "most Hawaiian resort".

I'd long been interested in this resort, because of its emphasis on Hawaiian culture, plus its good price point and family-friendliness. But I hadn't visited in person until last month.

Good thing I went: I didn't know the KBH has such a prime location on what is arguably Maui's best stretch of sand for visitors, Ka'anapali Beach.
