Hawaii on Sale

Hawaii's been hard hit by a drop in tourism, so much so that the "dream destination" is offering all sorts of bargains to draw visitors.

Airfares are as low as $250 from the West Coast, under $500 from New York. The beautiful island of Kauai has winter promotions. On Oahu's Waikiki Beach, Hilton Hawaiian Village -- with a resort-like 22 acres, kids' club, fish ponds, flamingos, hula classes-- has "Advance Purchase" rates from $179/night in December, for guests who confirm their dates. And also on Waikiki, the legendary "Pink Palace" Royal Hawaiian Hotel reopens after a huge refurbishment, and offers one night at its 1927 price of $19.27.
