I really wish I knew about the Apple Core Hotels before I planned my trip. Luckily, my good friend lives in Long Beach (not too far from NYC) and he graciously invited us to stay at his place.

Being from NY, I highly recommend having an itinerary when in NYC with kids. Do all the touristy stuff (we’re going to the Empire State Building, Rockefeller Center, etc. and seeing Wintuk) and tour neighborhoods like Chinatown, Little Italy, The Village, Times Square, etc.
