New Year's Family Camp in Vermont

Thursday October 30, 2008
Family New Year - Vermont family camp "Family Camps" are an excellent -- and affordable-- way to have a holiday with outdoors fun. Most family camps happen during summer, but here's an opportunity in winter-wonderland Vermont: the 31st annual New Year's Family Camp, at the Hulbert Outcoor Center.

Stay in warm cabins, share hearty meals, try snowshoeing and skating, go skiing nearby. Learn how to identify animal tracks, help cut ice on the lake. Kids have their own activities by age group, and activities with parents too. And on New Year's Eve: sleigh rides, family games, fireworks, candlelight dinner. 2008 dates are Dec. 27 to Jan. 1.
