Corn Maze Time

Sunday August 10, 2008
Once again, it's that time of year when corn mazes start bustin' out all over: and though most people visit in fall, visiting in summer has its merits too. For instance, the cornfield is lush and green.

corn mazeFor example: Cherry Crest Farm, near Lancaster PA, opens its Amazing Maize Maize July 7 2007, with a Wild Wild West theme. See the horse and rider in the photo?

The corn maze covers 5 acres and has over 2 miles of paths. Cherry Crest Farm also has a 3-acre walk-thru maze, Fudge Shop, Sweet Corn Festival in August and Potato Festival in October, Farm Animal Center...

Call it "agri-tainment": most corn mazes have extra fun of some sort, which makes for a great (and low-cost) family outing. Even teens can enjoy the maze, especially in the dark, with flashlights.
