Air Travel's So Bad, People are Avoiding Trips
Wednesday June 4, 2008
A survey by the Travel Industry Association (TIA) shows some deep discontent with the way air travel is these days: apparently, some 28% of air travelers have avoided at least one trip, costing the economy a whopping $26.5 billion.
I know that in the past year or so, when I consider a trip I also think, right away, about the hassle of getting there -- whereas before, my mind happily pictured the destination. And I'm definitely favoring destinations that don't involve connecting flights.
