Whistler- Blackcomb --"Whistler" for short, though there are two giant mountains-- is a super ski resort: top-ranked every year, and site of the 2010 Olympics. (And by the way, the Olympic events will take place on Whistler Mountain only; Blackcomb Mountain will be open for skiing as usual.)

Whistler's a sophisticated place, with fine dining and plenty of apres-ski in its extensive village; but it's also thoroughly family-friendly, even at the luxury resorts.

Guests at the Four Seasons Resort Whistler will find, for example, a ski concierge service (-- pick up your skis and boards right on the mountain), and gear rental right in the resort.
