There's a "waterpark resort" craze going on: dozens of resorts with indoor waterparks are under construction, and some vie to be the biggest and best.

The Kalahari Resort in Sandusky, new in 2005, has been "Ohio's largest indoor waterpark"; meanwhile, its parent, the Kalahari Resort in Wisconsin Dells, has claimed to be "America's largest indoor waterpark."

This year will bring a switcheroo: the Kalahari Sandusky is adding 93000 sq. ft. of wave pool, waterslides, Behemoth Bowl, and other waterworks, which will make it "America's largest indoor waterpark" -- for a while.

Or take the plunge in one of the Great Wolf Lodge resorts with indoor waterparks: the grand-daddy property is in Wisconsin Dells, but more are opening all the time -- Poconos, Kansas City, Sandusky...
