Christmas at Universal Orlando

Tuesday December 12, 2006
Universal Orlando is a mega-attraction with two theme parks and three resorts, all connected by the CityWalk entertainment zone. Holiday Season celebrations include:

Macy's Holiday Parade: happens every evening at the Universal Studios Florida park, with authentic Macy's balloons and floats.

Meanwhile, at the Islands of Adventure theme park in the fanciful Seuss Landing area: the reclusive Grinch -- who hides the rest of the year-- does make an appearance (for "Meet the Grinch" photo ops), but 2006 has no “Whoville Whobilation”. Let's hope the full Grinchmas returns next year!

Also for the Season: CityWalk has decorations, horse-drawn carriages, music, snow flurries, and appearances by Santa; the three resorts have carolers, tree-lighting, cookie decorating, etc. Resort guests get "Front Of The Line" treatment in the theme parks, too.

My family and I just watched the play, “How the Grinch Stole Christmas.” It was performed at Islands of Adventure, Universal Studios (Orlando). We loved it.
