Family Travel Idea: Dominica "Pirates of the Caribbean"
Many scenes from the second Pirates of the Caribbean movie "Dead Man's Chest" were filmed on the island, and not surprisingly a number of packages and tours are now being offered which showcase locations used in the film.

Dominica: "Pirates of the Caribbean" Packages
Several hotels and attractions on Dominica have packages for travelers to visit places where scenes from the movie were filmed.
- 3 Rivers Eco Lodge: extensive tours of settings where the movie was made
- JTAS - Jungle Trekking Adventures and Safaris: “Trailing the Pirates Treasures” tour; tales of pirates and the Kalinago people, bonfire, site-seeing, river bathing, visiting filming locations.
- Tamarind Tree Hotel: 7-day Pirates package includes visiting film locations.
- Garraway Hotel: “Pirate Pearl Family Package”: July to Oct. 23, Nov. 8 to Dec. 23, 2006; five nights accommodation with two double beds, welcome drink, transfers, etc., $1100, two adults, two kids.
- Wacky Rollers Adventure Park is re-erecting the rope-style bridge used in the film; it will span a river that guests can also cross on a 200-ft. zip line.
