Family Vacation idea: Hersheypark in April

Three hours from NYC, "Chocolate Town USA" has several fun attractions for families-- most notably Hersheypark theme park. Families can stay at the classic Hotel Hershey (with kids club and Chocolate Spa), or the sprawling family-friendly Hershey Lodge.

Hersheypark doesn't open until May, but during one weekend in April you can preview the summer fun: Springtime in the Park opens the gates for April 14, 15, and 16 2006. Select rides are running; admission is $19.95 for ages 9 to 54 and for ages 3 to 8 (and seniors 55 +), price is $14.96.

Also: have a look at some seasonal packages at Hershey that run through Spring Break. For example, a Family Fun Package runs through April 13, 2006.
