How family-friendly is this? The Hyatt Regency Tamaya has its own "family fun expert": Santiago Montoya and his staff help families get the most out of their visits, including the cultural activities offered through their Srai-Wi Family Program.
Sample activities:
For Families interested in learning and culture, the Srai-Wi Family Program offers cultural activities. (Srai-Wi means "to gather children together and share with them" in the Santa Ana Pueblo's native language.)
- native pottery-making classes
- a tour of the resort's collection of Southwestern paintings, prints, photography, sculpture and crafts
- horseback riding through the resort's pueblo backcountry to view Petroglyphs and ruins that date back approximately 1,000 years
- nature hikes through the Cottonwood Forest, with stories of the pueblo and its people
- adobe brick-making with clay and straw
