Family Vacations: Good time for Hawaii

Wednesday May 25, 2005
Hawaii is hot: a hot destination, that is. Hawaii had the 2nd-highest hotel occupancy rate, in the first quarter of 2005: with 4.8M room-nights sold and 85.4% of rooms occupied. (Travelweekly.com.)

Which means: this summer might be a timely moment to visit the Aloha state and take advantage of some off-season sales. Hawaii doesn't have the deep discounts seen in the Caribbean (and it doesn't have the hurricane season, either.) Still, a number of promotions are in full swing. Also: direct flights from NYC.
