Summer Family Vacation: night safari

Monday May 2, 2005
Jaguar Reef Lodge is an eco-lodge in Belize, the small country with beaches on the Caribbean just south of Mexico's Yucatan.

Jaguar Reef is an "eco-lodge" that combines reef plus rainforest: guests take many adventure trips on land and sea. From June through August 2005, they can join in a nocturnal safari and -- with luck-- view jaguars with night-vision gear.

Jaguar Reef also has a special family-price package through Dec. 15 2005, for families with 1, 2, or 3 kids: nearly all-inclusive, with lodgings, meals, and three adventure outings.

Jaguar Reef Lodge: Night Safari

Jaguar Reef Lodge "eco-lodge" combines reef plus rainforest, with 300 acres of wilderness, 1,000 feet of white sand beach, snorkeling, diving, etc.

Note that this is a small-scale, thatched-roof, no-TV type of place: don't expect big-resort style. Jaguar Reef Lodge offers all-inclusive and room-only rates.

This summer, Jaguar Reef Lodge is launching a nocturnal safari from June through August 2005. Guests -- if lucky -- can view jaguars with night-vision equipment as the animals roam throughout the 100,000-acre Cockscomb Basin Sanctuary.

Weeklong, all-inclusive land rate, including the night tour, starts at $1,169 person. Other packages, such as dive and adventure, are offered.

Reed more about Jaguar Reef Lodge, including a Walk on the Wildside Family Adventure Packages, for families with 1, 2, or 3 kids, and including 3 adventure outings. For details about the Night Safari package, see www.jaguarreef.com.
